Ninja Gadgets 12-Month Device Warranty

Effective from: 02/08/26

Important summary

Every eligible device sold by Ninja Gadgets includes a 12-month commercial warranty beginning on the date it is delivered.

The warranty covers qualifying hardware faults, including faults caused by defective components, materials or repair work carried out by Ninja Gadgets.

It does not cover accidental damage, liquid damage, ordinary wear, cosmetic marks, misuse or faults caused by unauthorised repairs or modifications.

Where a valid claim is accepted, Ninja Gadgets will normally repair the device. Where a repair is not practical, we may provide an equivalent replacement or an appropriate refund.

This warranty is provided in addition to your statutory consumer rights. It does not replace, restrict or remove those rights.

1. Who provides this warranty

This warranty is provided by:

Ninja Repair, trading as Ninja Gadgets
Address: Laing Park, Wallyford Eh21 8GW
Email: sales@ninja-gadgets.co.uk
Website: ninja-gadgets.co.uk

In these terms, “Ninja Gadgets”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the business named above.

2. Products covered

This warranty applies to eligible mobile phones and other electronic devices purchased:

  • directly from ninja-gadgets.co.uk; or
  • through an official Ninja Gadgets account on a marketplace where the product listing states that this warranty is included.

The warranty applies only to the device identified by the IMEI or serial number recorded against the customer’s order.

Unless we agree otherwise in writing, this warranty is provided to the original purchaser and is not transferable.

Cases, screen protectors, charging cables and other accessories are not covered by the full 12-month device warranty. They remain covered against faults present when supplied and by any applicable statutory rights.

3. Warranty period

The warranty begins on the date the device is delivered and lasts for 12 months.

Where a device is repaired or replaced under this warranty, the repaired or replacement device will be covered for:

  • the remainder of the original warranty period; or
  • 90 days from the date it is returned to the customer,

whichever is longer.

4. What the warranty covers

Subject to the exclusions and conditions set out below, this warranty covers hardware faults arising during normal use, including:

  • a component failing to perform its intended function;
  • faults caused by defective materials or workmanship;
  • faults caused by repair or refurbishment work carried out by Ninja Gadgets;
  • failure of a replacement component installed by Ninja Gadgets; and
  • abnormal battery failure caused by a defect in the battery or its installation.

Cover applies only where the fault was not caused or materially contributed to by accidental damage, misuse or another excluded event described in section 7.

5. Batteries

A device may contain either an original manufacturer battery or a high-quality compatible replacement battery.

Where applicable, the type of battery fitted will be disclosed in the product listing, condition report or repair record.

Battery-health percentages are diagnostic estimates. The displayed percentage may change following software updates, calibration, temperature changes or ordinary use.

This warranty may cover battery faults including:

  • failure to charge under normal conditions;
  • battery swelling;
  • repeated unexpected shutdowns caused by a defective battery; or
  • abnormal battery failure that is not consistent with normal ageing or use.

A gradual reduction in battery capacity, battery runtime or displayed battery-health percentage through normal use is not, by itself, considered a warranty fault.

This does not affect the customer’s statutory rights where a battery was faulty, unsafe or not as described when supplied.

6. Cosmetic condition and replacement parts

Ninja Gadgets sells used, refurbished and repaired devices. Each device may have its own photographs, condition grade, honest condition note and diagnostic report.

The following are not considered warranty faults where they were clearly photographed or disclosed before purchase:

  • scratches, scuffs, marks, dents, chips or discolouration;
  • ordinary signs of previous use;
  • a compatible or aftermarket replacement component;
  • the stated battery type or battery health;
  • existing cosmetic imperfections; or
  • another characteristic clearly shown or described in the product listing.

Where a listing uses photographs of the individual device, those photographs and its written condition note form part of the product description.

7. What is not covered

This commercial warranty does not cover a fault to the extent that it was caused or materially contributed to by:

  • dropping, impact, crushing, bending or excessive pressure;
  • accidental or deliberate physical damage;
  • contact with liquid, moisture, condensation or corrosion;
  • fire, excessive heat, extreme cold or unsuitable environmental conditions;
  • misuse, neglect, improper storage or failure to follow reasonable operating instructions;
  • use of an unsafe, unsuitable or damaged charger, cable, battery or accessory;
  • repair, opening, modification or replacement of components by anyone not authorised by Ninja Gadgets;
  • jailbreaking, rooting, unauthorised software modification, malware or illegal software;
  • removal, alteration or attempted alteration of an IMEI, serial number or security feature;
  • SIM-card faults, network outages, poor network coverage, account restrictions or third-party services;
  • loss, theft or deliberate damage;
  • normal cosmetic wear and tear;
  • ordinary battery ageing;
  • software or application compatibility issues that are not caused by a hardware fault;
  • a manufacturer or software provider ending operating-system, security or application support; or
  • continued use after damage or a fault became apparent, where that continued use caused additional damage.

Used and refurbished devices must not be treated as waterproof. Any original manufacturer water-resistance rating may have reduced because of age, previous use, repair or refurbishment.

8. Accidental damage and previous repairs

The presence of accidental damage, a previous repair or an aftermarket component does not automatically cancel the entire warranty.

We may decline all or part of a warranty claim where our inspection reasonably shows that the damage, repair or modification caused or materially contributed to the reported fault.

An unrelated qualifying hardware fault may still remain covered.

9. Making a warranty enquiry

To report a possible warranty fault, email:

sales@ninja-gadgets.co.uk

Please include:

  • your name;
  • your order number or proof of purchase;
  • the device’s IMEI or serial number;
  • a clear description of the fault; and
  • photographs or videos where reasonably requested.

We may ask the customer to complete reasonable troubleshooting before returning the device.

Where the information provided indicates a potentially covered fault, we will issue return instructions. For eligible UK warranty claims, we will normally provide a prepaid standard return service.

A customer must not arrange an unauthorised repair before giving Ninja Gadgets a reasonable opportunity to inspect and remedy the reported fault.

10. Preparing a device for return

Before returning a device, the customer must:

  • back up any photographs, files and other information they wish to retain;
  • remove all SIM cards and memory cards;
  • remove cases, screen protectors and unrelated accessories unless requested;
  • disable Find My iPhone, Activation Lock, Google Factory Reset Protection and similar security locks;
  • sign out of personal accounts;
  • remove the device passcode where reasonably possible; and
  • package the device securely using the instructions provided.

We may be unable to inspect, repair, replace or reset a device that remains locked to a customer’s account.

Where a security lock is not removed after the customer has been given a reasonable opportunity to do so, we may return the device without completing the inspection or repair.

11. Inspection and diagnostics

When a device is returned, Ninja Gadgets may:

  • verify its IMEI and serial number;
  • inspect its external and internal condition;
  • inspect for evidence of liquid exposure, corrosion, impact or tampering;
  • run hardware, battery and software diagnostics;
  • inspect any internal warranty markings;
  • compare the device with dispatch photographs and testing records; and
  • test whether the reported fault can be reproduced.

We will explain the inspection outcome and give a reason where a commercial warranty claim is declined.

12. Warranty remedies

Where a claim is accepted under this warranty, Ninja Gadgets will provide an appropriate remedy while considering the nature of the fault, repair cost, parts availability, replacement stock and inconvenience to the customer.

We will normally consider the following remedies:

Repair

We may repair the device using suitable original, reclaimed or high-quality compatible components.

Replacement parts may not always be manufactured by the original device manufacturer. Any part used will be selected to provide suitable performance and compatibility.

Replacement

Where repair is not reasonably practical, we may offer a replacement device with the same or materially equivalent:

  • model;
  • storage capacity;
  • specification;
  • functionality; and
  • cosmetic condition.

A replacement device may not have the same IMEI or serial number.

Where an exact replacement is unavailable, we will discuss the available options with the customer before sending a materially different model, specification or colour.

Refund

Where neither repair nor a suitable replacement is reasonably available, we may provide an appropriate refund to the original payment method.

Nothing in this section restricts any remedy the customer may be entitled to under consumer law.

13. Claims that are not covered

If our inspection reasonably establishes that:

  • no fault is present;
  • the reported issue cannot be reproduced;
  • the issue was caused by an excluded event;
  • the returned device is not the device supplied under the order; or
  • the claim involves fraud or deliberate misrepresentation,

we will explain our findings to the customer.

Where appropriate, we may offer a separate paid repair. The customer is not required to accept the quotation.

Any inspection charge or return-postage charge will only be applied where:

  • the charge is reasonable;
  • the possibility and amount of the charge were disclosed before the return;
  • the claim was not a valid statutory fault claim; and
  • applying the charge is permitted by law.

14. Data and personal information

Inspection or repair may require the device to be reset, erased, restored or have components replaced.

Customers are responsible for backing up their data before returning a device. Repairing or replacing a device may result in permanent loss of photographs, messages, applications, accounts and other stored information.

Ninja Gadgets will use reasonable care when handling a returned device and its data. However, we cannot guarantee that information stored on the device will be preserved during inspection or repair.

We are not responsible for data loss that could reasonably have been avoided by making a backup, except where the loss was caused by our failure to use reasonable care and skill or where liability cannot legally be excluded.

15. Fraudulent claims

We may decline a claim where there is reasonable evidence of fraud, including:

  • substitution of a different device;
  • alteration or removal of an IMEI or serial number;
  • deliberate concealment of damage;
  • fabricated or altered proof of purchase;
  • deliberate damage intended to obtain a repair, replacement or refund; or
  • knowingly providing false information about the device or fault.

We may retain relevant records and evidence and report suspected criminal activity to the appropriate authorities.

This section will not be used to obstruct or discourage genuine warranty or statutory claims.

16. Our responsibility

Ninja Gadgets is responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of our breach of contract or our failure to use reasonable care and skill.

We do not exclude or restrict liability for:

  • death or personal injury caused by our negligence;
  • fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
  • faulty or misdescribed goods where liability cannot legally be excluded;
  • breach of statutory consumer rights; or
  • any other liability that cannot legally be excluded or restricted.

Where a device was purchased primarily for personal use, we are not responsible for business losses such as loss of income, loss of profit, loss of business opportunities or business interruption.

Nothing in these terms prevents a customer from seeking a remedy available under applicable consumer law.

17. Statutory consumer rights

This warranty is a commercial warranty provided in addition to the customer’s statutory rights.

Statutory rights may continue to apply where:

  • the commercial warranty has expired;
  • a particular issue is excluded from the commercial warranty; or
  • the customer did not follow the commercial warranty process.

Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts the customer’s legal rights relating to goods being:

  • as described;
  • of satisfactory quality;
  • fit for any particular purpose made known to the seller; and
  • supplied by a business legally entitled to sell them.

The availability of a commercial warranty does not prevent a customer from exercising their statutory rights.

18. Complaints

Questions or complaints concerning this warranty should be sent to:

Email: sales@ninja-gadgets.co.uk
Address: Ninja Gadgets, 25, Laing Park, Wallyford, EH21 8GW

Please include the order number, a description of the issue and the outcome being requested.

We will acknowledge the complaint within five working days and aim to provide a substantive response within 14 working days.

Where a complaint cannot be resolved internally, we will provide information about any relevant alternative dispute-resolution process where required or appropriate.

19. Governing law

These warranty terms are governed by the law of Scotland.

Customers living elsewhere in the United Kingdom retain the benefit of any mandatory consumer protections that apply where they live and may bring proceedings in the courts available to them under applicable law.

20. Changes to these terms

The version of this warranty in force on the date of the customer’s order will apply to that purchase.

Ninja Gadgets may update these terms for future purchases but will not retrospectively reduce the commercial warranty provided with an existing order.

21. Severability

If any section of these terms is found to be unlawful, invalid or unenforceable, the remaining sections will continue to apply.
